How to Cancel Credit Genie — 3 Methods
Method 1: Cancel in the App
Open the Credit Genie app → Go to Profile → Tap Account Deletion → Choose the disable option. If you have an open Cash Boost balance, you must repay it first. Repayment processing takes 3–5 business days.
Method 2: Cancel via Support Portal
Visit support.creditgenie.com and submit a cancellation request. Allow up to 1 business day for processing. You should receive a confirmation email once your account is cancelled.
Method 3: Disconnect Your Bank Account
In the app, go to Settings → Linked Accounts → Disconnect. This will stop the $4.99 monthly bank connection fee from being charged. You can also revoke Plaid access through your bank's app or website.
What Happens After Cancellation?
- Your membership stays active through the end of your current paid period
- Any outstanding Cash Boost balance is still due
- You lose access to Cash Boost, Earn, and Money Manager features
- You can reactivate your account at any time from the app
Important: Deleting the App Is Not Enough
Simply deleting the Credit Genie app from your phone does not cancel your subscription or stop recurring charges. You must disconnect your bank account or formally cancel through one of the methods above.
